Kevin Brumann holt weitere Punkte in Lettland

Das iXS Hostettler Yamaha Team reiste in den Norden nach Kegums, Lettland, zur sechsten Runde der FIM Motocross Weltmeisterschaft 2022. Kevin Brumann war allein unter dem "blauen" Vorzelt - Valentin Guillod wurde von einer Krankheit gestoppt, die ihn daran hinderte, seinen zweiten Grand-Prix-Auftritt in dieser Saison zu absolvieren.

In den Stunden vor den Wertungsläufen am Sonntag regnete es in Lettland, doch Brumann ließ sich nicht beirren und war bestrebt, in Lettland eine solide Punkteausbeute zu erzielen. Der erste MX2-Lauf am Sonntag, der bei strömendem Regen stattfand, war eine ereignisreiche Angelegenheit. Brumann kämpfte die ganze Zeit zwischen dem vierzehnten und achtzehnten Platz - er tauschte die Positionen mit den Fahrern um ihn herum, bevor er als Fünfzehnter ins Ziel kam. Es war das vierte Mal in diesem Jahr, dass er in einem Wertungslauf unter die ersten Fünfzehn kam!

Brumann war im zweiten MX2-Lauf auf der Jagd nach weiteren Punkten, denn er war gut gerüstet, als die Strecke am härtesten war. Auch die Leistung der YZ250F trug ihren Teil dazu bei! Ein vorzeitiger Fehler wenige Runden vor Schluss kostete ihn jedoch teuer, da er sich im Ziel mit dem zweiundzwanzigsten Platz begnügen musste. Mit den Plätzen 15-22 belegte er beim Grand Prix von Lettland den neunzehnten Gesamtrang. #87 liegt nach der sechsten von zwanzig Runden auf dem achtzehnten Platz in der Meisterschaftswertung.

iXS Hostettler Yamaha wird seine Aufmerksamkeit nun auf die Hard-Pack-Strecke in Maggiora, Italien, richten. Der historische Austragungsort ist Schauplatz der siebten Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft 2022 am 07. und 08. Mai.

Kevin Brumann: "Es gibt nicht viel über mein Wochenende zu sagen. Ich hatte das ganze Wochenende zu kämpfen und bin nicht in meine Zone gekommen. Ich wurde Fünfzehnter und Einundzwanzigster. Ich weiß, woran ich arbeiten muss und das werde ich auch tun."

L'équipe iXS Hostettler Yamaha s'est rendue dans le nord, à Kegums, en Lettonie, pour la sixième manche du Championnat du Monde FIM de Motocross 2022. Kevin Brumann était seul sous l'auvent "bleu" - Valentin Guillod a été stoppé par une maladie qui l'a empêché de participer à son deuxième Grand Prix de la saison.

La pluie s'est abattue sur la Lettonie dans les heures qui ont précédé les manches de classement du dimanche, mais Brumann ne s'est pas laissé abattre et s'est efforcé de marquer de solides points en Lettonie. La première course MX2 du dimanche, qui s'est déroulée sous une pluie battante, a été riche en événements. Brumann s'est battu tout le temps entre la quatorzième et la dix-huitième place - il a échangé les positions avec les pilotes autour de lui avant de terminer quinzième. C'était la quatrième fois cette année qu'il se classait parmi les quinze premiers d'une manche de classement !


Brumann était en quête de nouveaux points dans la deuxième manche MX2, car il était bien équipé au moment où la piste était la plus dure. Les performances de l'YZ250F ont également joué leur rôle ! Une erreur prématurée à quelques tours de la fin lui a cependant coûté cher, puisqu'il a dû se contenter de la vingt-deuxième place à l'arrivée. Avec les places 15 à 22, il s'est classé dix-neuvième au classement général du Grand Prix de Lettonie. Après le sixième des vingt tours, #87 occupe la dix-huitième place du classement du championnat.

iXS Hostettler Yamaha va maintenant concentrer son attention sur le circuit Hard Pack de Maggiora, en Italie. Ce site historique accueillera la septième manche du championnat du monde de motocross FIM 2022 les 07 et 08 mai.

Kevin Brumann : "Il n'y a pas grand-chose à dire sur mon week-end. J'ai lutté tout le week-end et je ne suis pas rentré dans ma zone. J'ai terminé quinzième et vingt-et-unième. Je sais ce que je dois travailler et je vais le faire".

Brumann puts more points on the board in Latvia

The iXS hostettler Yamaha squad travelled north to Kegums, Latvia, for round six of the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship. Kevin Brumann was alone beneath the 'blue' awning – Valentin Guillod was sidelined with a sickness that stopped him from making his second Grand Prix appearance of the current term.

Rain battered the Latvian facility in the hours prior to the motos on Sunday, but Brumann was not deterred and eager to secure a solid haul of points in the slop. The first MX2 moto on Sunday, which took place when the rain was at its worst, was an eventful affair. Brumann battled between fourteenth and eighteenth the whole time – he swapped positions with those around him before hitting the finish line in fifteenth place. It was the fourth time this year that he has ventured into the top fifteen in a moto!

Brumann was on for more points in the second MX2 moto, as he equipped himself well when the track was at its roughest. The power within the YZ250F played its part too! An untimely mistake just laps from the end cost him dearly though, as he had to settle for twenty-second at the chequered flag. A 15-22 scorecard put him in nineteenth overall at the Grand Prix of Latvia. '87' is eighteenth in the championship standings after round six of twenty.

iXS hostettler Yamaha will turn attention to the hard-pack track of Maggiora, Italy, now. The historic venue is set to host round seven of the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship on May 07/08.

Kevin Brumann: "There is not a lot to say about my weekend. I was struggling all weekend and did not get in to my zone. I finished fifteenth and twenty-first. I know what I have to work on and that's what I am going to do."
