Jeremy Seewer RACE REPORT - MXGP of France, Villars Sous Ecot

Sensationeller Grand-Prix-Sieg für Seewer in Frankreich.

Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Pilot stand ganz oben auf dem Podium, beim MXGP of France, der siebten Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft in Villars Sous Ecot, Frankreich. Der Schweizer zeigte in beiden Rennen ausgezeichnet sein Können und holte sich den Gesamtsieg - seinen ersten seit dem MXGP of Sweden im August 2022.


Die FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft kehrte zum ersten Mal seit 2017 nach Villar Sous Ecot in Frankreich zurück, wo Tausende von leidenschaftlichen Fans anwesend waren und für gute Stimmung sorgten. Nach einem technisch anspruchsvollen Tag und einer super Qualifizierung auf dem zweiten Platz am Samstag war die Old-School-Strecke tadellos präpariert und bereit für einen aufregenden Grand-Prix Tag.


ERSTES RENNEN: 

Seewer war sehr entschlossen und voller Tatendrang einen guten Renntag zu zeigen. Und Jeremy zeigte auch während des gesamten Wochenendes eine bemerkenswerte Rückkehr zu seiner Form und bewies sein wahres Potenzial. Die Nr.91 setzte seine YZ450FM gekonnt zu einem unglaublichen Holeshot an und lieferte eine meisterhafte Leistung. Obwohl er zu Beginn des Rennens kurzzeitig die Führung an Jorge Prado verlor, holte er sich die Spitzenposition in der fünften Runde zurück und damit seinen ersten Laufsieg in dieser Saison.


ZWEITES RENNEN: 

Im zweiten und letzten Rennen des Tages gelang Seewer ein weiterer fantastischer Holeshot. Jeremy zeigte erneut eine außergewöhnliche Leistung, fuhr die schnellste Rennrunde und führte die ersten 12 Runden an, bevor er sich Romain Febvre geschlagen geben musste. Am Ende belegte er einen sicheren zweiten Platz, der ihm den Tagessieg im Grand Prix sicherte.


PLATZIERUNG: 

Jeremy holte sich beim französischen Grand-Prix 47 Punkte und befindet sich somit auf Platz 5, in der MXGP Gesamtwertung.


NÄCHSTER EVENT: 

Die nächste Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft, wird in Kegums, Lettland, am 4. Juni 2023 stattfinden.


AFTER RACE TALK: 

"An diesem Wochenende konnte ich mich von Problemen fern halten, und es sieht so aus, als hätten wir das Problem mit den Starts gelöst. Dieses Wochenende, war ich am Start vorne dabei. Die Fans waren unglaublich, ich habe die Startgerade noch nie so voll gesehen. Die Strecke liegt in der Nähe der Schweiz, daher waren viele Schweizer Fans angereist. Die Atmosphäre war unglaublich. Es fühlte sich grandios an, vor so vielen Schweizer Fans zu fahren und ihnen einen Sieg zu schenken, besonders nachdem der Heim-GP in der Schweiz nicht nach Plan verlaufen war. Nun schaue ich weiter nach vorne und möchte meine Form weiter ausbauen und mit einem Lächeln nach vorne fahren."

Sensational Grand Prix victory for Seewer in France.

Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory rider stood atop the podium at the MXGP of France, the seventh round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Villars Sous Ecot, France. The Swiss rider put on an excellent display of his skills in both races, taking the overall victory with a one-two finish - his first since the MXGP of Sweden in August 2022.


The FIM Motocross World Championship returned to Villar Sous Ecot in France for the first time since 2017, with thousands of passionate fans in attendance to create a great atmosphere. After a technically demanding day and a super qualifying second place on Saturday, the Old School track was impeccably prepared and ready for an exciting Grand Prix day.


RACE ONE: 

Seewer was very determined and full of drive to show a good race day. Jeremy showed a remarkable return to form throughout the weekend and proved his true potential. The No.91 expertly set his YZ450FM up for an incredible holeshot and delivered a masterful performance. Although he briefly lost the lead to Jorge Prado at the start of the race, he regained the top position on the fifth lap to take his first race win of the season.


RACE TWO: 

In the second and final race of the day, Seewer managed another fantastic holeshot. Jeremy again put in an exceptional performance, setting the fastest lap and leading the first 12 laps before conceding defeat to Romain Febvre. In the end, he finished in a safe second place, which secured him the day's Grand Prix victory.


STANDINGS: 

Jeremy secured 47 points at the French Grand Prix and is now just one point behind sixth-placed Calvin Vlaanderen in the overall MXGP standings.


NEXT EVENT: 

The next round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, will be held in Kegums, Latvia, on June 4, 2023.


AFTER RACE TALK: 

"This weekend I was able to stay out of trouble, and it looks like we solved the problem with the starts, because this weekend, I was up front at the start. Today it was incredible. The fans were incredible, and I've never seen the start straight so full. The track is close to Switzerland, so there were a lot of Swiss fans and French fans for Romain Febvre. The atmosphere was incredible and it felt terrific to race in front of so many Swiss fans and give them a win, especially after the home GP in Switzerland didn't go to plan. Nand looking ahead, I want to keep building on my form and ride forward with a smile."
